"We had the opportunity to put a cafe in KEXP, but we're a company that has relationships with lots of different roasters. It wouldn't really make sense for us to showcase only one roaster, and it wouldn't really make sense for us to open it up as our own cafe.
So we conceived of a 'Roasters in Residence' program where every month, we feature a new roaster.
We change a lot. We deliver a totally different experience based upon the roaster. The trays, the mugs, the liners, the coffee, the recipes, it's all different.

“Milstead & Company in Fremont is really cool. The owner managed a couple of shops in town and then won a competition so he set out on his own. They’re constantly rotating crops of really excellent coffee and have really excellent baristas. General Porpoise is also awesome, and they use a beautiful machine of ours.”
