"'The way you do anything is the way you do everything.' That kind of gets to, when you do something, just do it right and make sure the quality is there. That's for both the product, and the way you treat the people around you. It should all be high quality."
My Advice for Others
"If you have an idea, just start doing it. Don't think about it too much, just start. Think, 'What's the first thing to turn this into a reality?' Then think about the second thing, and do it. Before you know it, you'll have done a hundred different things, and if the idea is any good, you'll have a company."
"The outdoor activities are amazing, as is the food and coffee culture. There's a vibe of innovation that's driven by Silicon Valley, and a lot of that innovative thinking leaks into the rest of the city's culture."
My Recommended San Francisco Company
"Sunski Sunglasses. I think what they're doing is really cool. I'm a surfer and like their surf culture."
My San Francisco Musts:
I'd start by surfing at Ocean Beach. Get up nice and early, do the dawn patrol thing at 7 to catch some waves for a few hours. Then, I'd check out the local surf shop, like Mollusk. It's a hidden gem, with with a craft feel, almost like an artsy take on surf culture. Then, I'd get pearl milk tea at Boba Guys and lunch at Goat Hill Pizza, which is really unique because the dough they use is a sour dough crust so it makes it nice and crispy. It's probably my favorite pizza spots in the entire world.
Then, go for a bike ride and get ice cream at Pineapples in Glen Park. They serve Dole Whip pineapple ice cream and as far as I know the only place you can get that is there, Disneyland and the Dole Plantation in Hawaii. Then, I'd say to do dinner and sangria at Spark Social SF, which is a new spot in the outdoors."
